Knockloughrim Primary School is a friendly, rural school situated in a beautiful and very spacious setting on the edge of the village of Knockloughrim. The school grounds are large and offer a wide range of opportunities for the pupils. In addition to the hard play surfaces, pupils have access to a much loved adventure challenge area, a large grass area, a conservation area, seating area and our Gardening Club are working on providing flower beds and minibeast areas. Children can also use the Council field for matches and other activities. The children are drawn from the village and from a wide surrounding catchment area. The school has been increasing in numbers steadily over the past six years to the current enrolment figure. The school provides a caring and secure environment where all children feel valued and are encouraged to have a positive attitude to life and learning. The school enjoys close links between school, home and community. This is demonstrated by the school being used as a venue for ICT classes, first aid classes, dance classes etc.
